Snakes, children, education and travel – these four words sum up the origin and idea of this book.

For over a decade I have been smitten with herpetology! I am a licensed snake catcher and school teacher in Queensland and New South Wales, and always wondered how I could share my love for Australian critters with readers - young and old, in Oz and abroad. I discovered the answer: Tell stories - Wildlife stories packed with learning, suspense, great pictures and adventure!

I have travelled Australia with my wife, Kerry-Lee and four children, where we have met many snakes and other reptiles out and about. We all still relocate snakes and other reptiles during school holidays and are learning more and more about these mysterious creatures every day. This series - Moe, Ray and Leah’s Adventures - is my way of taking you along on the experiences we have so blessed to enjoy.
